Beginners Guide - Using disposable vape pens for the first time

Online discussions can make vaping seem complicated. Not to mention the debates and controversies over the best mods, wicks, and sub-ohms, even cloud sizes, can appear overwhelming to a newcomer when most of us are just looking for a good vaping experience. Fortunately, these aren't important to disposable vaping.

First time vaping tips

It's best to take short inhalations if you are trying a vape pen for the first time. By inhaling a little less vapour, you can ensure you don't overwhelm yourself.

Shorter draws on the e-cig also mean smaller hits of nicotine which can help you when working out your tolerance to the vape and get the effects you want. You'll also have a much longer-lasting vape!

How do disposable vape bars work?

Disposable vapes work practically the same way as standard vape kits, with a few minor changes (namely, they're all in one set!). Each vape pen consists of a battery, a tank, and a coil. The coil is housed inside the tank, which also contains the vape's e-liquid.

When you inhale, the battery sends an electrical current to the coil, which heats it, and allows the e-liquid to vaporise, which you then breathe in. As it's inhale-activated, disposable vapes are much more convenient and easy to use. With smaller batteries, they also weigh less and are much more compact. See, simply does it!

What to look for in a disposable vape bar

You've likely heard the numerous horror stories surrounding low-quality disposable vapes - from exploding vape pens to notoriously gross e-liquids. So what's important to look for when buying and choosing a good vape bar? Here's the skinny:

Check your ingredients.

Make sure your disposable vape doesn't contain diacetyl (the leading cause of popcorn lung), diketones (another ingredient that causes popcorn lung) or some natural flavours such as cinnamon and vanilla. Need a list of ingredients for what a disposable vape should contain? Check out the list here.

Check the quality control.

While you're not drinking the vape juice, you're still consuming the nicotine content. One accurate indicator of a product's quality is its Certificate of Analysis (COA). This is awarded by independent third-party companies and verifies the product's safety, compliance, and consistency - ensuring you get a pure and effective disposable vape.

Check for independent testing.

Third-party testing isn't required by law, but it's worth its weight in gold when choosing a good disposable vape bar (we're sure this sounds boring but trust us, it's worth checking!). Furthermore, testing shows the company's commitment to producing the best and highest quality disposable vape pens.

How do I charge a disposable vape?

It's a great question and we're pleased to tell you, there's no need to charge our disposable vapes. We've made our vape bars with next-gen ePen technology and 400 mAh batteries, so they'll last you around 600 enjoyable and delightful puffs! Don't thank us - thank science..

How do I refill a disposable vape?

And there's the second best thing about having a disposable vape: there's no need to refill them! This means no sticky, messy emptying and replacing the liquid. We fill our disposable vape pens with deliciously flavoured e-liquid with the legal maximum of 20mg/ml nicotine salt. Our vape juice is vegan and non-GMO too.

How long do disposable vape pens last?

A disposable vape pen's duration depends on the user's product type and vaping habits. As you might expect, heavier vapers tend to puff more and use their disposable vape faster than someone who's using it intermittently.

So why don't we make our disposable vape pens last longer? It's down to the law. Europe and the UK's legislation (Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (TRPR) restricts the max volume of a nicotine-containing juice in one refill to 10ml and the strength to no more than 20mg/ml. It's worth checking this out; if your retailer is selling a stronger liquid or more than 10ml, they may not be a licenced retailer.

How do you store a disposable vape pen?

It's best to store your disposable vape pen in a cool, dry place. Heat, moisture and the cold can affect the battery life and performance. As well, keep it out of direct sunlight. We also recommend keeping your vape out of the reach of children - even with child-resistant vape pens.

How do I know when my disposable vape is finished?

There are a few different ways to tell that your disposable vape pen may have reached the end of its life. We hope you've enjoyed your time together!

  • Has the potency or flavour disappeared or diminished? It might be time for a new one.
  • Has all the liquid disappeared from the tank? It's probably over.
  • Are you just breathing air or getting a slightly acrid taste? Sorry, you need a new vape pen!

How to dispose of a vape pen

When your disposable vape bar is done, keep it together with your other finished vape pens. We recommend taking them to the local recycling to be disposed of properly when you have enough. We definitely do not recommend disassembling or taking apart your vape pen.
