What ingredients go into a CBD pouch? Are they different from Nicotine Pouches?

Today, we're increasingly passionate about what we put in our bodies and where our ingredients come from. You've likely heard of nicotine pouches, but CBD pouches are something completey new - so how do they differ? We've written extensively on what to ask from your CBD provider (check out our Seven Questions to Ask Before Buying CBD) With this in mind, here's clarity on the different elements that make up our CBD pouches.

Hemp Natural Fibres (After Extraction)

The fast-growing hemp plant needs no pesticides or fertilisers and is a hugely sustainable product. Moreover, as a side product of our CBD oil, absorbent hemp fibres are the perfect carrier for the finished formula.

CBD Distillate

Distillation involves purifying a liquid by heating and cooling to create the perfect blend. Our CBD distillate is a high-CBD hemp concentrate that has gone through a distillation process to remove THC while retaining the other important cannabinoids and terpenes in the concentrate.

CBD Isolate

To heighten the beneficial properties of the CBD compound, we separate the CBD compound from the hundreds of other cannabinoids and add this to the distillate.

Salt

Nope, this isn't your run-of-the-mill table salt (and it doesn't make the pouch salty); this salt helps provide longer-lasting qualities of the CBD bioavailability.

Water

Ahh, where would we be without good old water? As you might expect, this keeps the pouch pillowy and juicy in your mouth without it drying out.

Propylene Glycol

Propylene Glycol is a non-toxic, odourless liquid. You'll find it in yeast, corn, vegetable oils. It works with glycerol to maintain consistency and evenly distributing flavour in the pouch.

Glycerol

This is a naturally occurring food additive and is entirely safe for consumption. It acts as a stabiliser, maintaining moisture levels and providing a base for flavour.

Sodium Benzoate

You'll find this compound used in foods and drinks across Europe and the UK, where it's used as a high-grade preservative (preventing the growth of moulds and nasty bacteria).

Potassium Sorbate

This non-toxic ingredient is used in a variety of medicines and foods. It works in tandem with sodium benzoate as a preservative.

Flavours

Our carefully formulated flavours are produced by extracting the aromatic compounds from foods and manufacturing new compounds to excite our taste buds.

THC-Free

We're frequently asked whether our pouches have trace amounts of THC. To answer plainly, our CBD pouches contain 0% THC - so there are no psychoactive effects, just the benefits of CBD. Want to find out more about those? Click here.
