While serious side effects to vaping are much more rare than smoking, the long-term implications of vaping aren't entirely known. Although the devices contain fewer than the 7,000 chemicals found in cigarettes, they can have various potentially unhealthy and harmful substances, including cancer-causing chemicals. It's also thought that the vaping fluid can respiratory injuries such as bronchitis. As there's no vapour involved in nicotine pouches, you avoid these risks to your lungs. However, in any form nicotine remains addictive.

 

Can I still smoke or vape after a nicotine pouch?

Many people decide to do one or the other, but there is no reason you can’t do both. You’ll just want to watch your nicotine intake. If you’re using nicotine pouches as a smoking cessation tool, it’s okay if you’ve had a cigarette - just throw the pack away and get back to your quitting plan. Remember, you’ve not failed to quit smoking, you’ve just not succeeded yet.
